Parque provincial Aconquija

Parque Provincial Aconquija is a protected mountain forest covering hundreds of hectares with dense vegetation and diverse tree species including laurels and horco molle. The park features multiple trails for walking and cycling that wind through the forest, allowing visitors to explore the local plant and animal life.

The area became a protected reserve in 1936, marking an important early step in environmental conservation for the Tucumán region. This designation showed that local authorities recognized the need to safeguard the mountain forests from development.
