Gruta Rei do Mato

Gruta Rei do Mato is a limestone cave with an extensive underground passage system. Inside, the formations include hanging stalactites and rising stalagmites spread across multiple large chambers connected by narrow corridors.

A Danish naturalist explored the region in the 1840s and was the first to document the cave's geological features. His work sparked scientific interest in the site and its underground structures.
