Dragão do Mar Center of Art and Culture is a 30,000 m² cultural complex in Fortaleza, Ceará, designed by architects Fausto Nilo and Delberg Ponce de Leon. It comprises a white building with a steep pyramidal red-tile roof, a white drum capped by a blue-tiled dome, a curved white colonnade, and a red steel truss footbridge over a paved plaza. Inside are the Museum of Cearense Culture, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ceará, the Rubens de Azevedo Planetarium, a theatre, two cinemas, and the Praça Verde.

The center opened in 1999 and is named after a maritime worker who resisted slave trafficking in the 1880s. Its creation reflected efforts to establish Fortaleza as a cultural hub and celebrate the city's artistic heritage.

The name honours Chico da Matilde, a jangadeiro who in 1881 refused to carry enslaved people south for sale. The Museum of Cearense Culture holds two permanent displays, "Vaqueiros", on the cattle-herding life of the sertão, and "Brinquedo - A arte do movimento". The Museum of Contemporary Art keeps over a thousand works, including pieces from the state Pinacoteca and the collection of painter Antônio Bandeira.

The facility is easily walkable and all areas are accessible to visitors. Multiple planetarium shows run daily, making it easy to plan your visit around available sessions.

The planetarium has a specialized projection system capable of creating rainbow effects, a rare technical capability. This feature allows shows that merge artistic lighting with scientific content about the night sky.
