Dramaga

Dramaga is an administrative district in Bogor that stretches across ten sub-villages at an elevation of about 388 meters above sea level. The area sits roughly 8 kilometers from downtown and features mixed residential zones alongside a major agricultural university campus.

The district officially gained its current status on January 11, 1992, when it separated from the neighboring Ciomas district through government regulation. This administrative split established it as an independent district with its own governance structure.

The Bogor Agricultural Institute anchors the district through its main campus, creating a learning-focused environment where students and local residents share daily spaces. The presence of this major educational hub shapes how people use the area and what they expect from it.

The district is served by multiple bus routes that connect it to neighboring areas such as Sukasari, Bubulak, and Baranangsiang. These public transport links make it easy for visitors to navigate between different parts and access attractions in the broader Bogor region.

The area contains two major hospitals, Medika Dramaga and Karya Bakti Pratiwi, that serve residents and surrounding communities with medical care. Their presence gives the district significance as a healthcare hub for the wider region.
