Air Terjun Cibeureum

Three waterfalls cascade from heights between 40 to 50 meters, with Cibeureum being the widest among the group at 1675 meters above sea level.

The name Cibeureum originates from Sundanese language meaning 'red river', referring to the red moss covering the cliff walls near the waterfall.

Local beliefs tell of a powerful hermit who meditated for so long that he transformed into the large stone formation visible in the middle of the waterfall.

Visitors need to walk 2.8 kilometers from the national park entrance through Cibodas Botanical Garden, with an entrance fee of 18,500 Indonesian Rupiah.

The waterfall walls display different color variations when sunlight hits the red moss growing on the cliff surfaces throughout the day.
