Indonesia University of Education, Educational university in Bandung City, Indonesia.
Indonesia University of Education is a public higher education institution in West Java with a main campus in Bandung and five additional sites across the province. The facility spans a large area with lecture halls, laboratories, sports facilities, and administrative buildings connected by walkways and green spaces.
The institution was founded in 1954 as a teachers college under Minister Muhammad Yamin to support the development of the education system after independence. The central administration building, known as Bumi Siliwangi, stands on the grounds of the former Villa Isola, which served as a base during the fight for independence.
The campus hosts an active student life with organizations for science, arts, and community engagement that shape daily routines. Visitors can often observe students from many regions of the country meeting and exchanging ideas on the green spaces and in common areas.
The campus is open to visitors during daytime and can be explored on foot, with signposts helping orientation between the different buildings. Those who want to visit the facilities should wear comfortable shoes, as the paths between areas can be somewhat long.
The library of the campus houses one of the largest collections of educational literature in Southeast Asia, accessible to external researchers as well. Many visitors notice the numerous outdoor sculptures and artworks donated by former graduates, spread across the entire grounds.
