Lovina Beach, Beach area in northern Bali, Indonesia
The black sand beach extends over 2 kilometers along the northern coast of Bali, offering a different experience from southern coastal regions.
In 1953, Anak Agung Pandji Tisna established the first tourist accommodation named Lovina, featuring three bedrooms and a small restaurant by the sea.
The name Lovina combines 'Love' and 'Ina', reflecting the Indonesian philosophy of maternal love and devotion to the homeland.
Visitors can rent traditional boats from local fishermen for approximately 150,000 rupiah per person to observe dolphins in their natural habitat.
The waters near Lovina Beach host numerous wild dolphins, visible during early morning boat excursions between 6:00 and 7:30 AM.
