Bicentennial National Trail, Long-distance hiking trail across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and Australian Capital Territory, Australia.

The Bicentennial National Trail extends 5,330 kilometers through forests, mountains, and rural areas, connecting eighteen national parks and fifty state forests.

Originally called the National Horse Trail, it opened in November 1988 during Australia's bicentenary celebrations after Dan Seymour first rode the proposed route in 1972.

The trail maintains connections to Aboriginal territories and follows historical paths used by stockmen and drovers throughout Australia's development.

Visitors need to carry sufficient supplies, detailed maps, and navigation equipment while informing others about their travel plans due to remote trail sections.

The trail incorporates old coach roads, stock routes, rivers, and fire trails, supporting non-motorized activities including horse riding, walking, and mountain biking.
