Big Trout

Big Trout is a 10-meter-tall fiberglass sculpture depicting a rainbow trout in the center of Adaminaby. The piece features carefully carved scales and fins that give it a lifelike appearance matching the species found in the region's waters.

The sculpture was created in 1980 as part of a national trend of oversized roadside attractions that flourished across Australia during that era. This movement reflected a creative approach to putting regional towns on the map and celebrating local industries.
