Liner House, Heritage office building in Bridge Street, Sydney, Australia
The Liner House features a steel column frame with floors in reinforced concrete and a curtain wall made of anodized aluminium with navy blue ceramic glass panels.
Built from 1959 to 1960, Liner House served as the Australian headquarters for Wilh Wilhelmsen Agency Pty Ltd, Norway's largest shipping organization at that time.
This thirteen-level commercial structure received the Sir John Sulman Medal in 1961 for its architectural excellence and harmonious integration with neighboring buildings.
The office spaces contain a grid system of floor outlet boxes for power and telephone connections, along with a pneumatic tube system for material delivery.
The building incorporates a mural screen designed by Douglas Annand and features English Portland stone facings that match the surrounding historical architecture.
