Mount Chinghee National Park

Mount Chinghee National Park spans across 12.6 square kilometers of protected land, featuring subtropical rainforests and diverse wildlife habitats.

The Queensland Department of Environment and Science established Mount Chinghee National Park on December 16, 1994, after its initial designation as Telemon Environment Park.

The area forms part of the Shield Volcano Group within the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, recognized as a World Heritage Site in 1986.

The national park lacks designated walking tracks and facilities, requiring visitors to bring essential supplies and navigate through natural terrain.

Mount Chinghee National Park contributes to the Scenic Rim Important Bird Area, supporting multiple threatened bird species in their natural environment.
