Binna Burra

Binna Burra is a mountain lodge in Lamington National Park, with several buildings nestled within the forested landscape. The property offers different types of accommodation and sits at the start of walking trails that spread through the park.

The lodge began as a temporary Christmas camp in 1933 and received its first permanent structures in 1934. It became an early destination for nature tourism in the region.

The lodge maintains connections with the National Parks Association of Queensland, promoting environmental education and nature conservation programs.

The site was restored after the 2019 bushfires through major reconstruction work, showing how the place recovered from natural disaster. The rebuilt access road became crucial to opening the location to visitors again.
