Tree Top Walk, Canopy walkway in Lamington National Park, Australia
The suspension bridge system stretches 180 meters through the rainforest with nine interconnected bridges suspended 15 meters above the forest floor.
This structure marked a milestone in Australian nature tourism as the first elevated walkway designed specifically for observing rainforest canopy life.
The walkway features educational displays about local flora, contributing to visitors' understanding of Queensland's subtropical rainforest ecosystems.
Access to the walkway is free of charge, with two observation decks reaching up to 30 meters high in a Strangler Fig tree.
The bridges allow visitors to observe epiphytic orchids, native ferns, and various bird species that inhabit the upper levels of the forest.
