Royal George Hotel and Ruddle's Building

The Royal George Hotel and Ruddle's Building stands at the corner of Ann and Brunswick Streets, displaying a three-story brick structure with Victorian architectural details such as ornate facades and traditional window arrangements. The original building was constructed in 1850 as the Bush & Commercial Inn and underwent significant transformations over the following decades. In 1863, it took the name Royal George Hotel, marking a turning point in its development.
