Built in 1888 by Smith and Ball Contractors, this establishment replaced an earlier Empire Hotel from 1865, owned by Nathaniel Corrigan until 1923.
The hotel represents a major development phase in Fortitude Valley, with its architecture reflecting the growth of Brisbane's hospitality sector in the 1880s.
Located at 339 Brunswick Street, the establishment contains a public bar, bistro, lounge areas, and multiple dining spaces across its three levels.
Original features from 1889 remain intact, including wooden joinery, an art deco entry foyer with patterned floors, and a vintage lift from the 1930s.
