The Prince Consort Hotel spans two three-story masonry buildings connected by timber verandahs, featuring decorative balconies with cast-iron posts along Wickham Street.
Built between 1887 and 1888 for publican John Daniel Heal, the hotel replaced an earlier establishment from 1863 and cost £9,400 to construct.
The first-floor Club Room served as a community gathering space where local groups and lodges held regular meetings throughout the late 19th century.
Located at 230 Wickham Street, the venue contains multiple function spaces including the Back Room, Pool Room, Bowie Rooms, and Garden Bar for various events.
An air raid shelter from World War II remains behind the hotel, now serving as a storage area while preserving this historical defense structure.
