Dr. Lilian Cooper, the first registered female doctor in Queensland, established her medical practice within The Mansions in 1891, marking a milestone for women in medicine.
The building houses professional offices, retail stores, and dining establishments, with plans for new restaurants as part of the Queen's Wharf Brisbane development.
Each parapet corner of The Mansions features a decorative cat and ball element, which according to local beliefs provided protection to the building.
