Wild West Falls Adventure Ride, Log flume ride at Warner Bros Movie World, Gold Coast, Australia
Wild West Falls Adventure Ride is a log flume at Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast that takes visitors through mine shafts and ghost towns. The ride concludes with a 20-meter drop reaching speeds around 70 kilometers per hour, with passengers traveling in boats made by WhiteWater West.
The ride opened in December 1998 with the name Wild Wild West, inspired by a Warner Brothers film of that name. Following a fire incident in 2003, the attraction underwent later modifications and upgrades.
The ride draws on imagery from classic western films throughout its surroundings, bringing cinema into the physical space of the theme park. This film-inspired setting helps visitors enter an action-adventure world before they experience the ride itself.
After renovations in 2022, the ride features stationary loading stations and can accommodate up to 600 passengers per hour. The modern boarding facilities make getting on and off more convenient and efficient for visitors.
During the ride, passengers encounter an animatronic miner figure who warns of an impending explosion. The experience also includes an unexpected backwards drop that takes many visitors by surprise.
