Road Runner Rollercoaster, Steel roller coaster at Warner Bros. Movie World, Gold Coast, Australia.
Road Runner Rollercoaster is a steel coaster at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast that winds through multiple helices and dips. The train moves at a gentle speed suitable for a wide range of riders seeking a fun family experience.
The coaster opened on December 26, 2000, as a Vekoma Junior model, following a successful similar installation at the German Warner Bros. Movie World in 1996. This marked the expansion of this popular ride concept into the Australian theme park.
The coaster displays two trains styled as ACME fireworks, with Wile E Coyote positioned at the front and Road Runner at the back. This theming brings the classic cartoon chase to life and creates a playful experience for fans of the characters.
Children need to be at least 100 centimeters (39 inches) tall to ride, and each train accommodates roughly 16 passengers. Queues tend to be shorter early in the morning or later in the afternoon.
The ride uses a friction wheel lift system to elevate passengers 13 meters before they plunge through two consecutive downward spirals. This specialized lifting method differs from traditional chain lifts and creates a smoother ascent experience.
