The Claw, Pendulum thrill ride at Dreamworld, Gold Coast, Australia
The Claw propels riders through a 360-degree rotation while swinging them to a height of eight stories at speeds reaching 64 kilometers per hour.
Opening in September 2004, The Claw made history as the first Intamin Gyro Swing installation in the Southern Hemisphere, with Queensland Tourism Minister Margaret Keech leading the ceremony.
The ride introduction marked a shift in Australian theme park entertainment, bringing European engineering excellence to the Gold Coast entertainment district.
Riders must measure at least 120 centimeters when accompanied by an adult, while the attraction accommodates 32 passengers during each one-and-a-half-minute cycle.
The Claw will cease operations in January 2025, making way for its successor, King Claw, which starts construction in February 2025.
