Big Red Car Ride

The Big Red Car Ride was a dark ride attraction at Dreamworld that transported visitors through multiple themed rooms inside The Wiggles' house environment. Vehicles moved slowly through colorful decorated areas, offering short experiences designed for young families.

The attraction opened in September 2005 as part of the ABC Kids World area and became a popular stop for families with young children. Operations ceased in 2020 after 15 years of continuous service.

The Wiggles were beloved children's entertainers whose music played throughout the ride, creating a familiar experience for families who grew up watching the band perform on television and in live shows.

The slow pace and short duration made this a safe option for families with small children who wanted exciting adventures without feeling overwhelmed. The different rooms were designed to be easy for children to follow and understand.

The system used buried wires and inductive charging to guide vehicles automatically, a technique that was rare in Australian theme parks at the time. This technology allowed vehicles to move freely through spaces without visible rails or tracks.
