Established in 2001, this park emerged as part of Queensland's initiative to create educational wildlife attractions on the Gold Coast entertainment circuit.

The park integrates Aboriginal knowledge into its presentations, demonstrating traditional relationships between native wildlife and indigenous communities of Queensland.

The park provides wheelchair access throughout all exhibits, rental strollers, and multiple rest areas with water stations positioned near animal enclosures.

Visitors can participate in scheduled feeding sessions with kangaroos and wallabies in specially designed open areas that allow direct animal interaction.
