Enchanted Floral Gardens of Kula, Maui

The Enchanted Floral Garden was a botanical garden in Kula's elevated mountain area, home to thousands of tropical and subtropical plant species gathered from around the world. The property spread across multiple acres in an environment noticeably cooler and more lush than the island's coastal zones.

The garden first opened under a different name and continued serving visitors for some time. After changing hands and receiving renovations, it eventually ceased operations permanently.

The garden taught traditional lei-making techniques and showed how people in the region connected with plants through their daily practices. Visitors could observe these traditions as living skills rather than historical artifacts.

Visitors could take self-guided tours at their own pace, with a typical visit lasting around one hour. The higher elevation meant cooler temperatures than lower parts of the island, so bringing a light layer helped with comfort.

From the property, visitors could look out toward Maalaea Bay and the West Maui Mountains, making it a rare spot to view island landscapes from that elevation. This vantage point offered both ocean and mountain views in a single perspective.
