Colonia Juárez Chihuahua México Temple, Mormon temple in Colonia Juárez, Mexico.
This temple features white marble exterior walls and a single spire topped with an angel Moroni statue. Inside are one ordinance room, one sealing room, and a baptistry where religious ceremonies take place.
The project was announced in October 1997 and construction began in March 1998. The dedication ceremony took place on March 6, 1999.
The building serves members from both sides of the United States-Mexico border who come here for their religious practices. Visitors can see how the space brings together communities separated by geography but united in faith.
The temple is compact, so visitors should expect more limited facilities than larger religious buildings of this kind. Planning a visit ahead helps with understanding how the space operates and its religious functions.
This is the smallest operating religious building of its kind in the world. Its small size shows how faith communities adapt and function in remote areas.
