Camasca, human settlement in Honduras
Camasca is a municipality in Intibucá Department situated at about 791 meters elevation on mountainous terrain. The landscape features pine and oak forests that cover much of the administrative area, interspersed with scattered settlements.
Camasca became part of Intibucá Department in 1883 when territorial divisions were reorganized to strengthen regional administration in Honduras. This change was part of broader administrative reforms made during that period.
Visitors can reach the area through rural roads that connect to the various small villages and communities throughout the municipality. The dry season offers the best conditions for traveling through the mountainous terrain.
