Áfricam Safari, Safari park in Puebla, Mexico
Áfricam Safari is a wildlife park near Puebla with more than 2500 animals representing around 350 different species spread across various terrain zones. Each section recreates specific natural habitats that support the animals living there.
The park was founded in 1972 by Captain Carlos Camacho Espíritu as a private nature reserve. The project began with the goal of creating natural spaces where animals could develop freely.
The name brings together Africa and Camacho, honoring both the origin of many animal species and the founder's family name.
You can drive your own vehicle or take a guided bus tour through the animal zones to explore the park. Plan for enough time and be aware that conditions change depending on the time of day and weather.
The Okavango Delta zone recreates Botswana's ecosystem, where elephants, giraffes, and lemurs roam freely in spacious areas. This section demonstrates how different African species coexist together in a largely unrestricted environment.
