Hacienda de San Miguel Regla, Colonial hacienda in Huasca de Ocampo, Mexico

Hacienda de San Miguel Regla is a colonial-era estate in Huasca de Ocampo with expansive stone buildings, terracotta roofs, and vaulted corridors. The property sits surrounded by two artificial lakes and now operates as a hotel with more than one hundred rooms.

Pedro Romero de Terreros built this estate between 1760 and 1762 to process silver and establish one of the region's first major mining operations. The site played an important role in the area's economic development.

The chapel near the property displays colonial architectural features like a gabled roof and conical dome that reflect its founding era. Visitors can observe these details today and sense the connection to the past.

The property is now a hotel offering accommodation in over one hundred rooms and conference spaces for larger groups. Visitors can hike in the surrounding natural areas or explore the historical buildings through leisurely walks.

The property preserves original silver smelting ovens from the 18th century, showing how metal processing once occurred on-site. These ovens remain remarkably intact and offer a direct look at the industrial past.
