The building was completed in 1998 and held the rank of second tallest structure in Monterrey for eight years. Its construction marked an important phase of commercial development in the city during the late 1990s.

The building houses the Consulate-General of Spain and multiple international corporations, making it a center for diplomatic and business relations.

The tower offers five levels of underground parking with a computerized navigation system to help visitors find their vehicles. Multiple elevators throughout the structure provide access to different floor sections, making navigation straightforward.

The building displays a distinctive purple exterior, which locals call Torres Moradas along with an identical twin structure nearby. This nickname has become widely used among Monterrey residents and makes the pair instantly recognizable in the city skyline.
