Alfa Planetarium

Alfa Planetarium was a science center in San Pedro Garza García with several interconnected areas: an interactive museum focused on scientific discovery, a specialized Omnimax cinema, and dedicated zones for rotating scientific exhibitions. The complex combined astronomy, technology, and nature observation under one roof.

The planetarium opened in 1978 and remained an important learning center for the region for many decades. It closed in 2020 due to the need for extensive structural maintenance and renovation work.

The site served as a center for sharing scientific knowledge and attracted people curious about technology and natural science. Visitors could engage with interactive displays exploring space exploration and modern discoveries.
