Museo de Historia de Tabasco Casa de los Azulejos

The Casa de los Azulejos features red brick walls across two floors, decorated with Barcelona tiles and Catalan-style vaulted ceilings.

Built in 1889 by Jacinto Cabrales, the building served multiple purposes including a residence, commercial space, government office, and hotel before becoming a museum in 1985.

Nine permanent exhibition halls present Tabasco's history from the 16th to 20th centuries, covering topics from pre-Hispanic times through the Revolution and Garridismo periods.

The museum operates Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM, with admission fees of 23 pesos for adults and 12 pesos for students and seniors.

The building displays 42 different tile designs throughout its interior and exterior, with no repeated patterns between floors and walls in any room.
