The museum displays 1,559 personal belongings of Mexican poet Carlos Pellicer Cámara within four exhibition rooms in a 19th-century building.
The building opened as a museum on June 11, 1985, in the former residence where Carlos Pellicer Cámara, recognized as the Poet of America, was born.
The exhibition includes photographs, clothing, hats, handkerchiefs, and furniture that represent twenty years of Carlos Pellicer Cámara's life and literary contributions.
Located at 203 Narciso Saenz Street in downtown Villahermosa, the museum offers free admission from Tuesday through Sunday between 9:00 and 17:00.
One room contains an exact reproduction of Pellicer's personal chamber from the former Archaeological Museum of Villahermosa, where he resided from 1952 until 1977.
