Aurora Apartment Hotel is a twelve-story residential building in the Tobin Hill neighborhood that houses around 105 units for long-term residents. The interior features Neo-Gothic architecture with mosaic tile floors and hand-carved fireplaces that remain throughout the structure.

The building opened in 1930 as a luxury hotel that attracted Hollywood personalities and prominent visitors before eventually being listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It later transitioned to become an affordable housing complex serving long-term residents.

The building shifted from serving travelers to housing residents who call it home for years. Today you see families and seniors moving through hallways that once welcomed brief guests, creating a settled community atmosphere.

The building functions as an active residential complex, so public access is limited to certain areas and times out of respect for residents. Tours or specific visiting arrangements may be available through local historic preservation organizations.
