The KBR Tower rises 550 feet into the Houston skyline with 40 floors of steel and glass construction at the Cullen Center complex.
Constructed in 1973, the building changed its name from M.W. Kellogg Tower following the 1991 office space exchange between Dresser Industries and its subsidiary.
The building represents the corporate expansion of Houston during the 1970s, when numerous energy companies established their presence in the downtown district.
The tower contains over 1 million square feet of office space, with KBR occupying a substantial portion through a 20-year lease agreement signed in 2010.
Engineering firms Ellisor Engineering and Sam P. Wallace coordinated their expertise to create the structural and mechanical systems of this 167-meter tower.
