Corrigan Tower, Modern architecture building in City Center District, Dallas, United States.
Corrigan Tower is a modern office building in Dallas's City Center District, rising 17 floors along Pacific Avenue with its main entrance accessed from St. Paul Street. The light brick facade features continuous ribbon windows that emphasize the structure's vertical rhythm.
The tower was completed in 1952 based on architect Wyatt C. Hedrick's design for developer Leo F. Corrigan, serving as an addition to the adjacent Tower Petroleum Building. The structure later underwent a conversion from office use to residential apartments.
The building displays the straightforward design principles of its era, with clean lines and vertical emphasis that define the downtown streetscape. This approach to form reflects how office architecture shaped the visual identity of the district.
The building is easily accessible from multiple entry points and features quick elevators for convenient circulation inside. The surrounding area offers good pedestrian pathways and is close to other downtown locations.
Construction took place around the existing Tower Theater, which remained operational and structurally intact throughout the process. This unusual constraint required specialized building techniques to work around the active venue.
