Santander Tower, Modern skyscraper in downtown Dallas, US
Santander Tower is a modern skyscraper in downtown Dallas featuring a reflective glass exterior and a distinctive triangular shape that stands 197 meters tall. The 50-floor building combines office and commercial spaces with residential units planned for conversion in upper sections.
The tower was built in 1982 by Hunt Oil Company and initially ranked as the second tallest structure in Dallas. It lost that position the following year as additional tall buildings were completed in the city.
The tower connects with Thanks-Giving Square and the Dallas Pedestrian Network, where visitors walk through glass-enclosed passages and experience an integrated business landscape. People use the surrounding plaza as a gathering space and passage point in the city's core.
The building sits at the intersection of major pedestrian routes and is easily accessible on foot from downtown's main areas. The surrounding area has good connections to public transportation and nearby dining options.
The building underwent a major renovation in 2013 that completely refreshed the lobbies, plaza, and mechanical systems. This upgrade gave the aging structure a contemporary interior while significantly improving the public spaces.
