Patriot Tower, Modernist skyscraper in City Center District, Dallas, US
Patriot Tower is an office and residential building in downtown Dallas consisting of 30 floors with a rectangular glass and aluminum design. The structure houses commercial spaces on lower levels and apartments on upper levels following its mid-2010s renovation.
The building was developed in 1979 as part of a planned three-tower complex, though only this structure was ultimately built. A construction crane incident in 1978 prompted structural changes during the project's final phases.
The architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners designed this building with clean lines and geometric patterns that reflect Dallas modernist movement.
The building sits in the City Center District and is accessible via public transportation networks serving downtown Dallas. The mix of offices and residences creates varied activity throughout the day as workers and residents move through the space.
A construction crane accident during building works in October 1978 led to structural modifications in the final phase of the project.
