Ross Tower is a 45-story skyscraper completed in 1984 to a design by HKS, rising 176.5 metres in downtown Dallas. Its broad faces are banded with dark reflective window strips alternating with lighter pinkish-tan spandrel panels, while a narrower green-glass section is set slightly back along one side. Projecting vertical fins step outward in a narrow band up one corner, and the base widens into an angled section with larger glass panels.
The building was completed in 1984 and served as headquarters for Halliburton starting in 1985. The company relocated to Houston in 2002, marking a shift in the tower's corporate occupancy.
The tower's name changed from Lincoln Plaza to Ross Tower in September 2013. Its facade is clad in pale gold, tan and brown panels set in a grid of horizontal rows and vertical columns, with a band of projecting vertical fins stepping up one corner.
Ross Tower stands at 32.78432, -96.80017 in Downtown Dallas, a short walk from the Ross Avenue side of the central business district. The 45 floors are served by lift banks, and the lobby level opens onto the surrounding street grid. Visitors should note that the tower is a working office building, so access above the lobby depends on tenant arrangements.
The building was originally known as Lincoln Plaza and received its current name in 2013. This name change reflected the shift in the tower's commercial identity and operational direction.
