Comerica Bank Tower, Postmodern skyscraper in downtown Dallas, United States.
Comerica Bank Tower is a 60-story office building in downtown Dallas made of glass, steel, and stone. The structure houses corporate offices and financial services on its upper floors, while a grand three-story banking hall with a vaulted ceiling anchors the ground level.
The tower opened in 1987 as Momentum Place, originally designed for MCorp Bank. A financial crisis forced changes in ownership, and Comerica Bank eventually acquired the building and made it their headquarters.
The building took its name from Comerica Bank, which made this tower its headquarters in the 1990s. The postmodern style with its distinct geometric shapes and stepped crown gives the structure a recognizable silhouette in the downtown skyline.
The tower is centrally located in downtown Dallas and accessible by public transportation. Visitors can view the grand banking hall at street level, though access to office floors is restricted to building tenants and their guests.
The tower includes a tree-filled plaza on its eastern side, creating a green retreat within the busy downtown district. This quiet outdoor space stands out in the urban landscape and offers a moment of respite from the surrounding commercial activity.
