Whitacre Tower, Corporate skyscraper in Downtown Dallas, United States.
The 37-story Whitacre Tower, also called One AT&T Plaza, rises 580 feet in height and features white stone and glass construction materials.
The structure, completed in 1984, stands on the former site of the Oriental Hotel from 1893 and later the Baker Hotel until 1980.
The Spirit of Communication gold statue, transferred from New Jersey, graces the main lobby as a symbol of telecommunications advancement.
The building provides over 1,000,000 square feet of office space and connects directly to the Akard Street Mall in central Dallas.
In 2009, AT&T named the tower after Edward Whitacre Jr, their former chairman, while selling the building but maintaining a long-term lease.
