Kirby Building, Gothic Revival skyscraper in Downtown Dallas, United States
The 17-story Kirby Building at 1509 Main Street displays Gothic Revival architecture with a prominent tower and decorative stone elements throughout its facade.
Built in 1913 by beer manufacturer Adolphus Busch, the structure initially served as the Busch Building before its sale to Kirby Investment Group in 1918.
The A. Harris Department Store operated in the building until 1965, making it a central shopping destination for Dallas residents over several decades.
The Kirby Building now contains 156 residential loft apartments following a complete renovation in 1999 by Hall Financial Group and Corgan & Associates.
The structure earned recognition through multiple designations, including the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and status as a Registered Texas Landmark in 1988.
