The Museum Negeri Provinsi Banten occupies a former colonial residence building in the center of Serang, featuring traditional artifacts and historical collections.
The structure, originally built as the Banten Resident's Office in 1821, transformed into a museum through a gubernatorial decree in 2015.
The museum exhibits 71 items including Archa Ganesha replicas, Prasasti Munjul artifacts, traditional Ciomas Golok weapons, and regional cultural objects.
The museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 09:00 to 15:00, offering free admission to visitors interested in exploring Banten's heritage.
The exhibition space incorporates holographic technology to present historical information through audiovisual displays about the region's past.
