Biedenharn Museum and Gardens, Historical garden and museum complex in Monroe, Louisiana.

The Biedenharn Museum and Gardens is a property along the Ouachita River with three distinct areas: a historic residence, botanical gardens, and exhibition spaces. The complex preserves both the family home and various specialized collections within its grounds.

Joseph Biedenharn purchased the property in 1913 after pioneering the bottling of Coca-Cola commercially in 1894. The estate then became the family residence and eventually transformed into a public museum.

Emma Louise Biedenharn gathered religious texts and artworks throughout her life, creating spaces that reflect her personal faith and interests. These collections reveal how deeply spirituality shaped the home's character and daily life.

The grounds feature well-maintained paths through the different garden sections that are easy to navigate on foot. Plan time for both the interior of the home and the outdoor areas.

The Musical Grotto contains hidden instruments that create surprising sounds during exploration. This interactive garden corner rewards visitors who examine the details closely.
