Keewaydin Club

The Keewaydin Club occupies the northern section of Keewaydin Island, showcasing traditional architectural features with water views from various locations. The property sits within a seven-mile stretch of natural island terrain, where private lots comprise only twenty percent of the total land area.

The club was established in 1934 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. It operated as a private establishment before closing in 1999.

The club served as a gathering place for visitors from Naples who arrived by boat, with the historic Kokomis vessel now on display at Collier County Museum. The property reflected how affluent residents of the area spent their leisure time.

Access to the former inn requires boat transportation, as Keewaydin Island maintains its vehicle-free status except for designated golf cart areas. Visitors should note that the property is only reachable from the water.
