President's House

The President's House is an administrative building on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville that now serves as an event venue. It contains multiple meeting rooms and formal reception spaces available for university gatherings and official functions.

The building was constructed in 1953 and originally served as the residence for university presidents. After 2006 the president moved off campus, and the structure transitioned to its current role as a community event space in 2015.

The house functions as a gathering space where university events and formal receptions take place. Visitors notice its role in bringing together students, faculty, and guests for academic and social occasions.

The building sits centrally on campus and is easily accessible on foot from other campus areas. It remains primarily available for university events and private gatherings rather than regular public tours.

The building was renamed the Earl and Christy Powell University House after its conversion in 2015. This name honors the donors whose support made the renovation and transformation into an event venue possible.
