St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park

St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is a reptile zoo in Saint Augustine, Florida, specializing in crocodilians and spread across multiple acres. The grounds host every living crocodile family along with snakes, turtles, wading birds, and small mammals in naturalistic enclosures.

The park opened in 1893 as a small roadside attraction along the railway near St. Augustine Beach. The facility moved to its current site in the early 1920s and gradually expanded its collection over the following decades.

The facility carries a name that reflects its early focus on alligators, even though visitors now observe crocodiles from every continent. Many guests arrive specifically during feeding times to watch how these animals behave up close.

The walkways remain open year-round and allow visitors to explore the enclosures at their own pace. Guided tours and demonstrations take place daily and offer insight into animal care and behavior.

The park is the only facility worldwide that displays every living crocodile species, including the rare gharial from India. A zip line course runs above the enclosures and lets visitors observe the animals from a bird's-eye view.
