Goliath, Steel hypercoaster at Six Flags Over Georgia, US.
Goliath is a steel hypercoaster at Six Flags Over Georgia that winds through the park grounds with a series of drops and turns. The track is built from tubular steel and follows a continuous circuit supported by tall columns at different heights.
The ride opened on April 1, 2006, after two earlier attractions were removed to make space for the new layout. Its construction marked the park's entry into the hypercoaster category with a height above 60 meters.
The roller coaster earned fourth place in Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Awards for best new rides of 2006.
The ride lasts around two minutes and travels over several hills and banked turns with changing inclines. Seats are secured with lap bars that lock into place over the thighs while seated.
The first drop descends 52 meters at a steep angle and accelerates the train to over 110 km/h (70 mph). The layout then leads through several lower hills where riders briefly lift out of their seats.
