The Regency Center

The Regency Center is an entertainment facility on Van Ness Avenue that combines three distinct spaces under one roof. The Regency Ballroom, Social Hall SF, and The Lodge are housed together in a building that blends Gothic and Neoclassical architectural elements.

The building opened in 1909 as a Scottish Rite Temple before being converted into a movie theater in 1966. It subsequently underwent further transformations to become the multi-purpose entertainment venue it is today.
