Loews Hotels bought it in February 2015 and renamed it Loews Regency San Francisco. Westbrook Partners acquired it in May 2019; it closed for renovations at the end of that year, and after a planned May 2020 opening was delayed by COVID-19, it reopened on June 16, 2021, as the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero.
