This tower was completed in 1973 as the Pacific Coast headquarters for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and originally named 1 Metropolitan Plaza. The building's name was later updated to reflect its address on Market Street.

The building hosts law offices and corporate workspaces that define the daily rhythm of the Financial District. Walking past the main entrance, you see the constant flow of professionals and the busy energy typical of this part of San Francisco.
