201 Folsom Street, Residential skyscraper in Rincon Hill, San Francisco, US

201 Folsom Street, known as LUMINA, is a 655-unit condominium complex in Rincon Hill made of two towers: 201 Folsom I, 42 stories and 400 feet tall at Folsom and Beale, and 201 Folsom II, 37 stories and 350 feet tall along Main Street. Both have blue glass curtain walls, curved dark balconies stacked on their left edges, and copper-colored panels between them, above a pale blocky base.

201 Folsom Street was approved in September 2003 alongside its sister project, The Infinity, which Tishman Speyer built first and completed in 2009. With permits set to expire, the firm obtained a three-year extension in 2009 and a further 12-month extension in 2012 after Arquitectonica redesigned the scheme. In February 2013 Tishman Speyer formed a joint venture with China Vanke, contributing $75 million against Vanke's $175 million for a 70% stake, and construction began that June.

The name LUMINA was given to the project at its ceremonial groundbreaking on June 26, 2013. The two towers are known as 201 Folsom I, at the corner of Folsom and Beale, and 201 Folsom II, along Main Street. Copper-colored panels between the towers and curved balconies on each left edge mark the facades.

You can walk around the complex and view the architecture from street level and surrounding areas. The location offers easy access to public transportation and nearby shops and restaurants in the Financial District.

The two towers differ in height: 201 Folsom I, at the Folsom and Beale corner, rises 400 feet over 42 stories, while 201 Folsom II along Main Street reaches 350 feet over 37 stories. The joint venture's financing split was $175 million from China Vanke for 70% and $75 million from Tishman Speyer for 30%, within a $620 million project.
